Foodie Tour – VIP

What fun it is when visitors come to the island and want a foodie tour.

Collecting VIP Foodies early mid-morning allows us to slowly make our way right around the island. Taking in some sights, first stop is to eat a local breakfast. Johnny cake with salt fish. As delicious as can be. We could see a large dough ball being prepared for another kneading in preparation for more Johnny cakes.

On to the Simpson Bay Yacht Club for Bloody Mary’s – the best on the island – and to see a very large mega yacht come in through the bridge.

Next stop was a tour at one of the Rhum distilleries. There are a couple on island. This time we stopped at Topper’s. By having someone guide you/drive you, you have no worries about tasting/drinking all those rums and then driving.

Then it was on to enjoy a superb duck leg confit with perfectly cooked fat, green asparagus and a glass or two of wine. Simple and perfect as French cuisine can be.

Driving on to Grande Case where a walk on the beach and a photographic opportunity was had.

Rolled ice cream was next on the finger-licking good afternoon menu

There are a number of great French boutique type foodie shops and delis to visit. We stopped off at one wonderful store for their amazing chocolates and excellent wine

Last stop was at Amsterdam Cheese for a little smidgen of some excellent Dutch products.

If you are interested in doing a foodie tour like this you can email / leave a message here at SXMCooks or contact Seagrape Tours. The tour can be adapted to suite you, the VIP guest.
